Doggy Day Out

The English countryside offers a diverse landscape. From hills, parkland and woodlands to river valleys and interesting coastline, it's a wonderful place to be with your dog.

Dogs need space where they can chase a ball ‘til their heart’s content and walking trails that will challenge even the fittest of owners. A country pub is the ideal base from which to enjoy quality time with your canine friend.

Our Great Country Pubs are often nestled in National Parks such as the South Downs, with its scenic network of paths and bridleways, or the majestic woodlands and ancient heathlands of the New Forest, both which create the perfect environment for breathing in fresh country air with your loyal friend at your side.

Most Great Country Pubs welcome your dog but it’s always best to double check (in case their policy has changed!) and using the website's dog friendly search facility makes that a lot easier.

It’s every owner’s duty to make sure that their dog is not a danger or nuisance to farm animals, wildlife or other people, and not to allow their dog to foul indiscriminately. Keep an eye out for signs insisting that dogs must be kept on a lead in some areas.

Search our 'Dog Friendly Pubs' now and find a pub that will welcome 'Fido' too.
